Artist
Kiyotaka Sugiyama is a Japanese singer-songwriter, born in Yokohama in 1959, whose soft rock and pop are closely associated with the city-pop era. He first became known as the lead vocalist of S. Kiyotaka & Omega Tribe, singing “Summer Suspicion,” “Futari no Natsu Monogatari” and “Never Ending Summer.” After the group disbanded, he began his solo career in 1986 with “Sayonara no Ocean.” Kiyotaka Sugiyama has repeatedly presented the outdoor concert High & High at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. In 2018 he reunited with the original band members for their 35th anniversary, followed by a national tour in 2019 that returned the early Omega Tribe repertoire to concert stages.
