Kris Drever in Cambridge

Kris Drever is a Scottish folk singer, songwriter and guitarist from Orkney, known for his solo work and as the lead singer of the trio Lau. His debut solo album, Black Water, includes “Beads and Feathers”; later records include Mark the Hard Earth and If Wishes Were Horses. After forming Lau with fiddler Aidan O’Rourke and accordionist Martin Green, Kris Drever toured as the trio’s singer and guitarist while also playing solo concerts under his own name. He later joined the concert ensemble for The Lost Words: Spell Songs, performing the nature-themed song cycle with musicians including Karine Polwart, Julie Fowlis and Seckou Keita.
