Artist
Kumbia Kings are an American group formed in Corpus Christi, Texas, by A.B. Quintanilla and Cruz Martínez. Their music combines Mexican cumbia and Tejano rhythms with Latin pop and R&B, heard on albums including Amor, Familia y Respeto and Shhh! and songs such as “Fuiste Mala,” “Shhh!” and “Sabes a Chocolate.” In 2005, Kumbia Kings performed at Selena ¡VIVE!, the televised tribute concert held at Reliant Stadium in Houston. After the group split, Quintanilla and Martínez reunited the act for a 2009 concert at Estadio Universitario in Monterrey.
