About La Lupita
La Lupita is a Mexican alternative-rock band formed in Mexico City in 1991. Its music draws on funk, punk and Mexican popular styles, and the group became known for songs including “Contrabando y traición,” “Ja, ja, ja” and “Supersónico,” as well as the albums Pa’ servir a Ud. and Qué bonito es casi todo.
In 2012, La Lupita returned from a hiatus for a reunion performance at Vive Latino in Mexico City. Further performances in Mexico followed, with Héctor Quijada and Rosa Adame again sharing lead vocals.
