About La Raíz
La Raíz is a Spanish band formed in Gandia in 2006. Its music draws on rock, ska, reggae and hip-hop, led by politically charged Spanish-language lyrics. The band is known for albums including Así en el cielo como en la selva and Entre poetas y presos, as well as songs such as “Rueda la corona” and “A la sombra de la sierra.”
In 2016, La Raíz took Entre poetas y presos on the road through concert halls and festivals. The farewell tour Nos Volveremos a Ver followed in 2018 and ended with a concert at Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid.
