About Lambchop

Lambchop is an American band formed in Nashville in 1986 and led by singer-songwriter Kurt Wagner. Its shifting lineup has explored alternative country, soul, chamber pop and electronic music. The band is particularly known for the albums Nixon and Is a Woman, as well as songs including “Up with People” and “The Daily Growl.”

In 2009, Lambchop performed at XX Merge in Carrboro, North Carolina, and the set was released as Live at XX Merge. The following year, the band marked the tenth anniversary of Nixon by performing the album in full at London’s Barbican.
