About Destroyer
Destroyer is a Canadian indie-rock band formed in Vancouver in 1995 and led by singer-songwriter Dan Bejar. The group is known for Bejar’s dense, allusive writing and for albums including Destroyer’s Rubies, Kaputt and Poison Season; “European Oils,” “Chinatown” and “Kaputt” are among its central songs.
A concert at the Biltmore Cabaret was documented on the album Destroyer: Live at the Biltmore. In 2011, the touring band performed the arrangements from Kaputt with trumpet and saxophone and appeared at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.
