Latin Quarter are a British pop-rock band formed in 1983 by singer and guitarist Steve Skaith and lyricist Mike Jones. Their politically focused songs often draw on reggae, and they are best known for “Radio Africa,” “America for Beginners” and the debut album Modern Times. In 1986, Latin Quarter performed at the Full House Rock Show in Hanover, a concert later released as Live at Full House Rock Show. After regrouping in 2011, the band resumed concerts in Britain and Germany under the leadership of Steve Skaith.
