Linda Eder is an American singer and actress, born in 1961, whose repertoire centers on pop ballads, Broadway songs and standards. She first reached a national television audience on Star Search and later originated the role of Lucy Harris in the Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde. Her best-known songs include “Vienna,” “Someone Like You” and “A New Life.”

In 1997, Linda Eder began her Broadway run in Jekyll & Hyde, bringing songs from the musical into her subsequent solo concerts. She later headlined Carnegie Hall and performed at the Kennedy Center, where her programs drew on theatre music, pop and holiday repertoire.
