Lisa Loeb is an American singer-songwriter who plays acoustic pop and rock. She became widely known through “Stay (I Missed You),” featured in the film Reality Bites, and became the first unsigned artist to top the US singles chart. Her catalog includes the albums Tails and Firecracker, while Feel What U Feel earned a Grammy Award for Best Children’s Album.

Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories built an audience in New York clubs in the early 1990s, including CBGB and The Bitter End. After “Stay (I Missed You)” reached a wider public, she toured with Nine Stories and performed at the 1997 Lilith Fair, whose lineup also included Sarah McLachlan and Indigo Girls.
