Lisa Ono is a Japanese-Brazilian singer and guitarist, born in São Paulo in 1962, who specializes in bossa nova and Brazilian popular song. She became known through Portuguese-language interpretations of the Antônio Carlos Jobim songbook and albums including Dream and Pretty World. Blue Note Tokyo has presented her in the intimate format central to her live work: vocals and acoustic guitar supported by a small bossa nova and jazz ensemble. Her concert repertoire combines Brazilian standards with songs from her own recordings. She has also made return concert visits to Singapore and Taipei.
