London Elektricity in Salt Lake City

London Elektricity is the drum-and-bass project created in 1996 by British producers Tony Colman and Chris Goss; it later became Colman’s solo alias. The pair also founded Hospital Records, the label closely associated with the project’s melodic, soulful approach to drum and bass. London Elektricity’s catalogue includes the albums Pull the Plug, Billion Dollar Gravy and Syncopated City, alongside tracks such as “Just One Second,” “Different Drum” and “Billion Dollar Gravy.” In 2003, Colman formed London Elektricity Live as a touring band, and the resulting performances were documented on Live Gravy at the Jazz Cafe and Live at the Scala. He later expanded the format into the London Elektricity Big Band, which debuted at Hospitality in the Park in 2016 and added a larger brass and vocal ensemble to the rhythm section. London Elektricity has also performed at Let It Roll in the Czech Republic and at the Sardinian drum-and-bass gathering SUNANDBASS.
