About Los Askis
Los Askis are a Mexican group formed in Mexico City in 1994. They play cumbia andina mexicana, setting Andean flute melodies over a dance-oriented cumbia pulse. “Vienes y te vas,” “¡Ay! el amor” and “Amigos nunca” are among their signature songs.
In 2019, Los Askis marked their 25th anniversary with a concert at Teatro Metropólitan. The group later celebrated three decades of work at Auditorio Nacional.
