Los Rieleros Del Norte in Salt Lake City

Los Rieleros Del Norte are a Mexican norteño band formed in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, in 1979. Their saxophone-led style also draws on corridos, rancheras and cumbias, and their best-known songs include “El Columpio,” “Te Quiero Mucho,” “Una Aventura” and “En la Puerta de Esa Casa.” Los Rieleros Del Norte have spent decades playing dance halls, fairs and música mexicana festivals. Their shows use full-band arrangements led by accordion and saxophone and draw heavily on the group’s recorded repertoire. Based in El Paso, they have performed throughout Mexico and the United States.
