Lost Bayou Ramblers in New Orleans

Lost Bayou Ramblers are an American Cajun band formed in Louisiana in 1999 by brothers Louis and Andre Michot. Their music pairs Cajun traditions with rock and electronic textures; key albums include “Mammoth Waltz” and “Kalenda,” which won the Grammy Award for Best Regional Roots Music Album. A 2012 NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert documented the group’s amplified approach in a compact setting. They have also performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Festival International de Louisiane. Their concerts are built around Louis Michot’s fiddle and vocals, Andre Michot’s accordion, electric guitars and a rhythm section, with many songs performed in Louisiana French.
