Ludovico Einaudi is an Italian pianist and composer, born in Turin in 1955, who writes contemporary classical music shaped by repeating piano figures and spacious instrumental arrangements. His best-known works include “Le Onde,” “I Giorni,” “Una Mattina,” “Nuvole Bianche” and “Experience,” while albums such as Divenire and In a Time Lapse brought his music to a broad audience.

A 2010 concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall was documented on the album and concert film Live at the Royal Albert Hall. He later toured programmes based on Elements, the seven-part Seven Days Walking cycle and Underwater, moving between solo piano passages and arrangements for strings, percussion and electronics.
