Artist
Marco Rodrigues is a Portuguese singer from Amarante whose work is rooted in fado and Portuguese popular music. His recordings include the albums Tantas Lisboas, Fados do Fado and Copo Meio Cheio. Rodrigues won Lisbon’s Grande Noite do Fado in 1999, an early public milestone in a career developed through the city’s fado houses. He later served as artistic director of Café Luso, where traditional fado performance remained central to his stage work.
