Marcy Playground in Knoxville

Marcy Playground is an American alternative rock band formed in New York City in 1994. The group is best known for “Sex and Candy,” a song from its self-titled debut album; later records include Shapeshifter and Leaving Wonderland... in a Fit of Rage. Marcy Playground performed at Woodstock ’99 during the band’s first major period of touring. In 2012, the group joined Everclear, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms and Lit for the inaugural Summerland Tour, which visited amphitheatres across the United States.
