Mary Coughlan in Manchester

Mary Coughlan is an Irish singer-songwriter, born in Galway in 1956, whose music draws on jazz, blues and folk. Her 1985 debut album, Tired and Emotional, established her through songs including “Delaney’s Gone Back on the Wine,” and she later recorded albums such as Under the Influence and After the Fall. Mary Coughlan has spent decades touring with jazz- and blues-based concert programmes built around her voice and a small band. She has performed in the intimate club setting of Ronnie Scott’s in London and on formal concert stages including Dublin’s National Concert Hall.
