Maryla Rodowicz in Ostrów Wielkopolski

Maryla Rodowicz is a Polish singer, born in Zielona Góra in 1945, whose pop repertoire draws on folk, rock and country music. She has performed since the 1960s and is known for songs including “Małgośka,” “Niech żyje bal,” “Sing-Sing” and “Kolorowe jarmarki.” In 1969, she performed at the Sopot International Song Festival, an early landmark in her concert career. Decades of appearances at Poland’s televised music festivals were marked by a 2017 jubilee concert celebrating 50 years of her stage career at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole.
