Matt Minglewood in Hubbards

Matt Minglewood is a Canadian singer, guitarist and songwriter whose music draws on blues rock, country and roots music. Born Roy Batherson in Moncton and raised in North Sydney, he became known as the frontman of the Minglewood Band. The group’s self-titled album and the song “Me and the Boys” are central works in his catalogue. The Minglewood Band toured widely through the late 1970s and 1980s, building its live history in clubs, theatres and festivals. Matt Minglewood later performed under his own name as well as with the band, and he plays most often in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
