About Maverick City Music
Maverick City Music is an American contemporary worship collective formed in Atlanta in 2018 by Tony Brown and Jonathan Jay. Its best-known songs include “Promises,” “Jireh,” “Man of Your Word” and “Firm Foundation (He Won’t).” The catalog also includes Old Church Basement, a collaborative album with Elevation Worship.
The Welcome to Maverick City Tour took the collective to arenas across the United States in 2021. The following year, Maverick City Music returned to arenas for the Kingdom Tour, a co-headlining run with Kirk Franklin.
