Maya De Vitry in Berkeley

Maya de Vitry is an American folk and Americana singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She first became known as a founding singer, fiddler and guitarist in The Stray Birds before recording under her own name. Her solo albums include Adaptations, How to Break a Fall, Violet Light and The Only Moment. During the 2010s, she toured North America and Europe with The Stray Birds, including appearances at MerleFest and Cambridge Folk Festival. Her solo work later took her into listening rooms and theatres, where she has opened shows for The Wood Brothers and Aoife O’Donovan.

Mark Erelli is an American singer-songwriter from Massachusetts whose music draws on folk, country and Americana. His catalog includes the albums Compass & Companion, Hope & Other Casualties and Blindsided, as well as the gun-violence protest song “By Degrees.” Erelli’s early live work included winning the New Folk competition at the Kerrville Folk Festival. He has since toured under his own name in folk clubs and listening rooms, including Club Passim in Cambridge, and has worked on the road as a guitarist and harmony singer in Lori McKenna’s band.
