Mayhem in Stuttgart

Mayhem is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Langhus in 1984 by guitarist Euronymous, bassist Necrobutcher and drummer Manheim. The early EP Deathcrush, the song “Freezing Moon” and the debut album De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas established the music for which the band is known. The band’s 1990 concert in Leipzig, featuring vocalist Dead, was later issued as Live in Leipzig and documents its early stage lineup. For De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive, Mayhem performed the debut album in full; a Norrköping performance became a concert film and live album. In 2022, the band co-headlined the Decibel Magazine Tour with Watain, supported by Midnight. Wacken Open Air has hosted Mayhem in Germany, and the band has also performed at Hellfest in Clisson. In Oslo, Mayhem has appeared at Inferno Metal Festival.

Marduk are a Swedish black metal band formed in Norrköping in 1990 by guitarist Morgan Håkansson. Their catalogue includes Those of the Unlight, Nightwing, Panzer Division Marduk and Plague Angel, albums known for rapid drumming, harsh vocals and themes drawn from war and religious conflict. The World Panzer Battle Tour carried material from Panzer Division Marduk into concert sets across Europe. The live DVD Funeral Marches and Warsongs later assembled performances recorded at Party.San Open Air, Wacken Open Air and Rock Hard Festival.
