Mayte Martin in Barcelona

Mayte Martin is a Spanish singer born in Barcelona in 1965, known for flamenco singing and her interpretations of bolero. She won the Lámpara Minera at the Festival del Cante de las Minas and has recorded albums including Muy frágil, Querencia and Free Boleros. In 1996, Mayte Martin recorded and performed boleros with jazz pianist Tete Montoliu, establishing a concert partnership between flamenco vocals and piano. That same year she began touring with flamenco dancer Belén Maya, presenting a stage program built around song and dance.
