About Melnitsa

Melnitsa is a Russian folk-rock band formed in Moscow in 1999 and led by singer, songwriter and harpist Natalia O’Shea, who performs as Helavisa. Celtic and medieval motifs run through albums including Doroga sna and Zov krovi; widely known songs include “Doroga sna,” “Nochnaia kobyla” and “Nevesta Poloza.”

Melnitsa toured with concert programs built around the albums Alkhimiya and Khimera. The band also performed at Nashestvie and Wild Mint, and marked its 20th anniversary in 2019 with a concert at Crocus City Hall in Moscow.
