Artist
Michael Kaeshammer is a German-born Canadian pianist and singer who plays boogie-woogie, blues and jazz. Born in Offenburg in 1977, he moved to Canada as a teenager and built his repertoire around stride piano and boogie-woogie. His recordings include No Strings Attached, Kaeshammer and Lovelight. In 2008, he opened concerts on Anne Murray’s Coast-to-Coast: The Farewell Tour, bringing his piano-led set to arenas across Canada. He has also performed at the Montreal International Jazz Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival.
