Michael Schenker Group in Barcelona

Michael Schenker Group is a British hard rock band formed in London in 1979 by German guitarist Michael Schenker after he left UFO. Its early records include The Michael Schenker Group, MSG and Assault Attack, while “Armed and Ready,” “Into the Arena” and “Attack of the Mad Axeman” became lasting parts of its catalogue. Michael Schenker Group played Reading Festival in 1980 and recorded a Tokyo performance at Nippon Budokan the following year for One Night at Budokan. The concert album Rock Will Never Die later documented its 1983 performances at Hammersmith Odeon.

Robin McAuley is an Irish hard-rock singer best known as the frontman of the McAuley Schenker Group, his partnership with guitarist Michael Schenker. His recorded work with the group includes the albums Perfect Timing, Save Yourself and M.S.G.; he has also sung with Grand Prix, Survivor and Black Swan. McAuley toured with the McAuley Schenker Group around its late-1980s and early-1990s releases, then later performed as Survivor’s lead vocalist. He subsequently appeared in the Las Vegas production Raiding the Rock Vault and reunited with Schenker for Michael Schenker Fest, whose 2016 concert at Tokyo International Forum was released as Live: Tokyo International Forum Hall A.
