Mike Keneally and Beer For Dolphins in San Marcos

Mike Keneally and Beer For Dolphins is the solo touring band that guitarist, keyboardist and singer Mike Keneally named after leaving Z in 1996. The group plays art rock, experimental rock and progressive rock; its releases include Half Alive in Hollywood, Sluggo! and Dancing. An eight-piece version recorded Dancing, including Chris Opperman on trumpet and piano. Half Alive in Hollywood combines originals recorded live in the studio with stage performances by Keneally, bassist Bryan Beller and drummer Toss Panos. In late 1996, that lineup opened across the United States on Steve Vai’s tour supporting Fire Garden.
