The group became known for its three-guitar sound, Danny Joe Brown’s vocals and songs including “Flirtin’ with Disaster,” “Gator Country,” “Whiskey Man” and its version of “Dreams I’ll Never See.” Its early catalogue is anchored by the albums Molly Hatchet and Flirtin’ with Disaster. The 1985 double album Double Trouble Live documented the band’s concert repertoire through extended performances of “Flirtin’ with Disaster” and “Dreams I’ll Never See,” recorded at shows in Dallas and Jacksonville.
