Morrissey is an English singer and songwriter, born in 1959, who formed The Smiths with Johnny Marr and became known as the band’s vocalist and lyricist. He began his solo career with the 1988 album Viva Hate; “Suedehead,” “Everyday Is Like Sunday,” Vauxhall and I and “First of the Gang to Die” are among his best-known solo works. His first solo concert took place at Wolverhampton Civic Hall in 1988. The Kill Uncle tour followed in 1991, and a performance at the Zénith in Paris during the Your Arsenal tour was recorded for the live album Beethoven Was Deaf. He held a Broadway residency at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in 2019. His other engagements have included arena concerts at Wembley Arena and a Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
