Mykki Blanco in The City of Brighton and Hove

Mykki Blanco is an American rapper, poet and performance artist who makes alternative hip-hop with electronic production and an explicitly queer perspective. They are known for the tracks “Wavvy” and “High School Never Ends,” the album Mykki, and later records Broken Hearts & Beauty Sleep and Stay Close to Music. Mykki Blanco performed in MoMA PS1’s Warm Up series in New York during their early recording years. Their headline dates have centered on clubs and theatres, while later festival appearances included Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Denmark’s Roskilde Festival.
