Naxatras in Athens

Naxatras are a Greek psychedelic rock band formed in Thessaloniki in 2012. Their music draws on heavy psych, space rock and progressive rock, often unfolding through extended instrumental passages. They are known for tracks including “Waves” and “I Am the Beyonder,” as well as the albums Naxatras, II, III and IV; their self-titled debut was recorded live in the studio on analogue equipment. After the self-titled album, Naxatras took their long-form material through clubs and festivals on repeated European tours. The band performs as a full rock ensemble, using guitar, bass, drums, vocals and keyboards to develop the improvisational sections heard on its records. Its festival history includes Desertfest Berlin and Keep It Low in Munich.
