Artist
Mao Fujita is a Japanese classical pianist, born in Tokyo in 1998. He won the silver medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition and is particularly associated with Mozart; his recordings include the complete piano sonatas for Sony Classical. At the 2019 competition in Moscow, Fujita advanced through the recital and concerto rounds to the final. In 2021, he performed Mozart’s complete piano sonatas across five recitals at the Verbier Festival, then made his New York recital debut at Carnegie Hall in 2023.
