Artists
Neko Case is an American singer-songwriter who plays alt-country, folk and indie rock. Her solo catalogue includes the albums Fox Confessor Brings the Flood and Middle Cyclone, and songs such as “I Wish I Was the Moon,” “Hold On, Hold On” and “People Got a Lotta Nerve.” She is also a longtime vocalist in the Canadian indie-rock band The New Pornographers. In 2014, Neko Case joined Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds for dates on their North American tour. Two years later, she toured with k.d. lang and Laura Veirs behind their collaborative album case/lang/veirs, including a performance at the Newport Folk Festival. Her own Hell-On dates followed in 2018, while the Wild Creatures Tour drew on songs from across her solo catalogue.
Destroyer is a Canadian indie-rock band formed in Vancouver in 1995 and led by singer-songwriter Dan Bejar. The group is known for Bejar’s dense, allusive writing and for albums including Destroyer’s Rubies, Kaputt and Poison Season; “European Oils,” “Chinatown” and “Kaputt” are among its central songs. A concert at the Biltmore Cabaret was documented on the album Destroyer: Live at the Biltmore. In 2011, the touring band performed the arrangements from Kaputt with trumpet and saxophone and appeared at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.
