About New Edition

New Edition is an American R&B and pop vocal group formed in Boston in 1978. The group became known through songs including “Candy Girl,” “Cool It Now,” “Mr. Telephone Man,” “If It Isn’t Love” and “Can You Stand the Rain.” Its six-member lineup brings together Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant.

The Heart Break Tour took New Edition into arenas in 1988 and featured Bobby Brown and Al B. Sure! The reunion album Home Again led to a tour by all six members in 1996. Decades later, the group mounted The Culture Tour with Charlie Wilson and Jodeci, then followed it with the Legacy Tour featuring Keith Sweat, Guy and Tank.
