Nicola Cruz in Buenos Aires

Nicola Cruz is an Ecuadorian electronic producer and DJ, born in Limoges, France, and raised in Quito. His music uses Andean instrumentation, Latin American rhythms and downtempo electronics, an approach often called “andes step.” He is known for the albums Prender el Alma and Siku, and tracks including “Cumbia del Olvido” and “Colibria.” A 2016 Boiler Room broadcast captured his DJ set at Comunité in Tulum. Later appearances included Sónar in Barcelona and Dekmantel in Amsterdam, while Cercle filmed one of his performances beside Iguazú Falls.
