About Nisse Hellberg
Nisse Hellberg is a Swedish singer, guitarist and songwriter who co-founded the Malmö rock band Wilmer X in 1977. As its frontman and principal songwriter, he became known for Swedish-language rock and rhythm and blues; his solo work leans toward rockabilly, country and roots rock on albums including Snackbar Blues and En modern man.
In 1990, Hellberg fronted Wilmer X when the band opened for the Rolling Stones at Eriksberg in Gothenburg. He later toured his solo records with a backing band, before rejoining the group for its 2018 summer tour of Sweden.
