About Wilmer X
Wilmer X is a Swedish rock band formed in Malmö in 1977, initially under the name Wilmer Pitt. Led by singer and songwriter Nisse Hellberg, the group plays rock and pop rooted in rhythm and blues, and is known for songs including “Teknikens under,” “Vem får nu se alla tårar?” and “Om en hund mådde så här.”
In 2005, the band gave a farewell concert at Stortorget during Malmöfestivalen and then stepped away from regular performances. The musicians later regrouped, marking Wilmer X’s 40th anniversary with a Swedish tour in 2018. Nisse Hellberg fronted the reunited lineup throughout those anniversary concerts.
