Nubiyan Twist in Saint Leonards-on-Sea

Nubiyan Twist are a British musical collective formed in Leeds by guitarist and producer Tom Excell, whose members met at Leeds College of Music. They play jazz, Afrobeat, soul, funk, dub and hip-hop, documented on the albums Nubiyan Twist, Jungle Run, Freedom Fables and Find Your Flame. Their recordings have featured K.O.G., Ego Ella May and Nile Rodgers. Nubiyan Twist have performed at Glastonbury Festival, WOMAD and We Out Here, bringing a horn-led ensemble, percussion, electronics and vocals to festival stages. They have also played clubs and theatres across Britain and mainland Europe; their London dates have included the Jazz Cafe.
