October Tide in Istanbul

October Tide is a Swedish death-doom band formed in 1994 by Katatonia members Jonas Renkse and Fredrik Norrman. Its slow, melodic sound was established on the albums Rain Without End and Grey Dawn, followed in later years by records including A Thin Shell, Winged Waltz and In Splendor Below. October Tide returned in 2009 and began playing concerts after operating primarily as a studio project during its first incarnation. The band later performed in European clubs and at specialist metal events, then crossed the Atlantic for Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore.
