Oh My God! It's The Church in The City of Brighton and Hove

Oh My God! It's The Church is a British music-and-comedy collective built around a satirical church service led by Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson. The act combines gospel, funk and soul with sermon-style comedy; its repertoire includes “Sexy Jesus.” The group has performed its congregation-themed production in clubs and theatres and at Glastonbury Festival. It also brought the show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as a self-contained music-and-comedy performance. Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson leads the service in character, delivering comic sermons between songs as the musicians and singers use gospel-style call and response. Boomtown Fair and Shambala Festival have both hosted the production.
