Oswaldo Montenegro in Fortaleza

Oswaldo Montenegro is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, composer and playwright, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1956. His work sits within música popular brasileira and is known for songs including “Bandolins,” “Lua e Flor,” “A Lista” and “Metade.” At the MPB 80 festival, he performed “Agonia,” written by Mongol, which became part of his concert repertoire. In 1983 he premiered the musical A Dança dos Signos, joining his songwriting to the theatrical work that has remained central to his stage career.
