About Paddy And The Rats

Paddy And The Rats are a Hungarian Celtic punk band formed in Miskolc in 2008. They play fast punk rock led by accordion, fiddle and folk melodies, often drawing on pirate tales and drinking-song traditions. Their best-known recordings include “Ghost from the Barrow,” “Join the Riot” and their version of “Drunken Sailor,” while albums such as Riot City Outlaws and From Wasteland to Wonderland developed that sound.

Paddy And The Rats performed at Wacken Open Air, taking their full-band Celtic punk set to a major German metal festival. In Hungary, their live history also included outdoor headline concerts at Budapest Park.
