Paradise Lost in Marrickville

Paradise Lost are an English metal band formed in Halifax in 1988. Their early albums Gothic and Shades of God helped shape death-doom and gothic metal, while Icon and Draconian Times brought cleaner vocals into their sound. Their best-known songs include “As I Die,” “Embers Fire,” “Forever Failure” and “Say Just Words.” The Draconian Times MMXI tour in 2011 featured the 1995 album performed in full, and the London concert at The Forum was filmed for a live release. Five years later, Paradise Lost revisited their early work by performing Gothic in full at Roadburn Festival.
