Peer Günt is a Finnish hard-rock band formed in Kouvola in 1976. The group is closely associated with the albums Backseat and Good Girls Don’t..., while songs including “Backseat” and “I Don’t Wanna Be a Rock ’n’ Roll Star” established its direct, riff-driven sound. The band toured clubs and festivals around Finland and Scandinavia during the 1980s, including a 1986 performance at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival.
