About Pelican
Pelican is an American instrumental metal band formed in Chicago in 2001. Its heavy, expansive post-metal and post-rock is built around two guitars, bass and drums, and the band is known for albums including Australasia, The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw and City of Echoes.
In 2013, Pelican recorded a performance in Saint Petersburg that became the live album Arktika. The band later preserved another complete festival set on Live at Dunk!fest 2016, documenting its appearance at Belgium’s Dunk!festival.
