Penelope Isles are a British indie-pop band based in Brighton and centred on siblings Jack and Lily Wolter. Their layered guitar music first reached album length on Until the Tide Creeps In in 2019, followed by Which Way to Happy in 2021; their best-known songs include “Chlorine” and “Leipzig.” Penelope Isles brought their debut material to SXSW in Austin during an early series of shows outside Britain. Headline club tours across Britain, continental Europe and North America followed, and after Which Way to Happy the band opened UK dates for The Flaming Lips.
