Pete Tong in Leeds

Pete Tong is a British DJ and radio broadcaster, born in Dartford in 1960, whose work centres on house and electronic dance music. He became known through Essential Selection and as the host of Essential Mix, the guest-DJ programme launched on BBC Radio 1 in 1993. The 2015 BBC Radio 1 Ibiza Prom at the Royal Albert Hall placed him at the decks beside the Heritage Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, recasting house records for orchestra and guest vocalists. That concert developed into Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics, a UK arena production that has included repeated December dates at The O2.
