About PFM
PFM, short for Premiata Forneria Marconi, is an Italian progressive rock band formed in Milan in 1970. The group became known for intricate ensemble playing and albums including Storia di un minuto, Per un amico and the English-language Photos of Ghosts, as well as songs such as “Impressioni di settembre” and “È festa.”
PFM performed at Reading Festival in 1973 as the band began taking its music beyond Italy. Its 1974 North American concerts were documented on the live album Cook, recorded in Toronto and at New York’s Central Park.
